Viachaslau Basharymau, head of the Mahiliou City Department for Emergency Situations, said that no incidents had been recorded in the city.
“Over the past 24 hours, no fires, flare-ups or other emergency incidents have been registered in the city of Mahiliou. Emergency Ministry units continue to operate as usual,” he said.
Local state media also report that the police have not registered any incidents either.
As previously reported, social media users in Mahiliou said they had heard some explosions after 11 p.m. on 2 April. State media in Mahiliou described the reports of explosions as fake.
