Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that a Ukrainian drone crashed on the territory of Belarus in recent days. A woman was injured. Lukashenka did not specify where exactly the incident occurred.

According to him, this was not the first such case.

“Moreover, the day before yesterday, I think, or yesterday, a drone fell there — it injured our woman. We began to investigate — it was Ukrainian. Did you hear me howling, shouting, screaming: ‘Those scoundrels!’? Although I had the right to do so. And this is not the first time,” Lukashenka said today in the Drybin District.

Lukashenka said that both Russian and Ukrainian drones have been falling in the Homiel Region. He noted that Ukraine did not strike Belarus and that the drone fell because of Russian electronic warfare.

“Both Russian and Ukrainian ones fall there in the Homiel Region. Ask Krupko — the governor will tell you. I start to investigate why it fell. The Ukrainians did not strike us. Russian electronic warfare is operating, a radio-electronic warfare system. It jammed this drone, it flew in the wrong direction, its power ran out — it fell uncontrollably. The war is going on nearby. It is no longer behind the fence — this war is already here with us. That is how it happened. We begin to investigate. Well yes, we can shout, but what will change? Nothing,” BelTA quoted Lukashenka as saying.

Lukashenka also said that several “decoy” Oreshnik systems are located in Belarus, threatened opponents with the “harshest reaction” if the scenario of 2020 is repeated, and spoke about negotiations with the United States on the release of political prisoners.

Yesterday, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Andrei Lukyanovich said that since the beginning of the year three drones that violated the border had been shot down in Belarus. He did not specify the origin of the drones. In total, since the beginning of the year 107 violations of Belarus’s airspace and 72 cases of violations of the state border have been recorded.
