One person was killed in a head-on collision on the Minsk–Vitsebsk highway, the Minsk Regional Executive Committee’s Internal Affairs Directorate reported. The crash occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on June 13 at the 21st kilometre of the M3 Minsk–Vitsebsk road.
A 41-year-old BMW driver travelling towards Minsk crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with an Audi driven by a 23-year-old man.
The BMW driver died at the scene.
The Audi driver and his 27-year-old passenger were taken to hospital. Two other passengers, aged 33 and 70, were examined by medical personnel at the scene.
An investigative task force is working at the site of the accident.
