Alyaksandr Lukashenka has departed for Russia on a visit, his press service said. Shortly before that, it published an official announcement of the trip, describing it as a working visit.
Lukashenka is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and also take part in the May 9 parade on Red Square.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that a meeting between Lukashenka and Putin was scheduled for today during a “friendly dinner.”
