The press service of Alyaksandr Lukashenka has officially announced his visit to Moscow. The dates of the trip, described in the statement as a working visit, were not specified. The purpose of the trip is participation in ceremonial events in Moscow and a meeting with the Russian president.
According to the press service, Lukashenka, at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, “together with other high-ranking foreign guests, will take part in celebrations marking the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.” The parade will take place on Red Square, followed by a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
A meeting between Lukashenka and Putin is also planned. They will “discuss a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, the international agenda, and the situation in the region.”
Upon returning to Minsk, Lukashenka will take part in ceremonial events in the Belarusian capital.
