Lithuanian customs authorities destroyed Belarusian contraband cigarettes. A total of 195,000 packs, or 3.9 million cigarettes, were sent to a special shredder.

According to customs officials, the shredder ensures that tobacco products become completely unusable. After destruction, the shredded cigarettes are mixed with biological and chemical substances, which guarantees the environmental safety of the final waste.
