Investigative Committee Launches Special Proceedings Against Belarusian Charged Under Five Political Articles

The Investigative Committee has initiated special proceedings against 40-year-old <b>Dmitry Banit</b>, who is charged under five politically motivated articles of the Criminal Code.

He is accused under the following provisions:

• Part 1 of Article 130 — incitement of hatred;
• Article 188 — defamation;
• Part 3 of Article 203-1 — unlawful actions involving personal data;
• Article 364 — violence or threat of violence against an interior ministry officer;
• Article 369 — insulting a government official.

He has been summoned to appear before the Baranavichy Interdistrict Office of the Investigative Committee.
