Hungary’s Foreign Ministry informed the Russian ambassador that ten Russian diplomats had been declared persona non grata. They must leave the country. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Anita Orbán said this.
According to her, 10 Russian representatives were engaged in activities in Hungary incompatible with the Vienna Convention.
“In light of this, the Hungarian side called on the relevant individuals to leave Hungary. This decision protects Hungary’s security and sovereignty. It does not mean a break in diplomatic relations with Russia. Hungary intends to continue the necessary dialogue based on mutual respect and compliance with the rules”, Orbán said.
