A heavy Boeing 747 operated by Qeshm Fars Air, with registration number EP-FAB, has arrived in Minsk for the third time in recent weeks. The airline and its aircraft have been under U.S. sanctions since 2019 for cooperation with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in arms deliveries.
According to data from flightradar24.com, the aircraft departed Tehran at 1:00 a.m. UTC and arrived in Minsk at 6:18 a.m. UTC.
The aircraft had previously arrived in Minsk on August 26. On August 27, EP-FAB departed Minsk and flew for nearly five hours over Russian territory before returning to the Belarusian capital. The following day, August 28, it flew to Tehran. The maneuvers of the Iranian “freighter” attracted the attention of Ukrainian media.

On January 24, 2019, OFAC added Qeshm Fars Air and two of its Boeing 747s, including EP-FAB, to the sanctions list. The U.S. Treasury Department says the carrier was controlled by Mahan Air and operated cargo flights on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force, including deliveries of weapons and other military equipment to Syria.
