The State Military Industrial Committee has proposed a system to protect enterprises against unmanned aerial vehicles based on remotely controlled ADUNOK combat modules.
“The modules are deployed around the perimeter of the protected facility. The system allows a single operator, located in a protected shelter, to simultaneously control up to four combat modules and store up to 10 priority targets for engagement”, the statement said.
The protection system also includes detection equipment that can receive target designation from multiple sources, including radar, reconnaissance drones and others.
“The combat modules can be deployed in fixed positions or installed on various chassis, special-purpose vehicles and remotely controlled robotic platforms, the «ADUNOK-M24» and «ADUNOK-M250», significantly increasing their mobility and enabling their effective use in patrolling the area.
The optoelectronic system ensures round-the-clock duty. The automatic tracking system independently acquires and tracks the target, leaving the final decision to open fire to the operator”, the State Military Industrial Committee added.
The modules can be armed with either twin 7.62 mm machine guns or 30 mm automatic cannons.
“The twin 7.62 mm PKT machine gun on the «ADUNOK-V2» modification has proven effective against small drones: it reliably engages a typical unmanned aerial vehicle measuring 0.3×0.3 meters at a range of 400–500 meters”, the statement said.
