US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will visit Kyiv and Moscow in the near future.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the visit in his evening address.
“There are preliminary dates. We expect representatives of the American president to come here, to Kyiv. We already have their confirmation: there will be a meeting in both Moscow and Kyiv. We hope to have the meeting in the coming days,” he said.
This morning, Russian state-run news agency TASS also confirmed that the US envoys would travel to Moscow, citing a source.
It should be recalled that yesterday afternoon, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that a “new momentum” was expected in peace talks on resolving the conflict in Ukraine and urged people to watch for further developments.
