Heat to Reach +35°C and Higher as Forecasters Issue Warning

Forecasters have issued a warning over hot weather expected in the coming days.

“During the daytime on 30 July (Thursday), maximum air temperatures are expected to reach +30°C in some areas of the country’s southwest,” the yellow-level weather warning said.

The warning level has been raised to orange for Friday.

“During the daytime on 31 July (Friday), maximum air temperatures will reach +30°C to +34°C across many areas in the west of the country, with temperatures of up to +35°C in places in Brest Region,” the statement said.

According to the preliminary forecast from Belhydromet, temperatures could rise even higher on 1 August, with daytime highs ranging from +27°C in the northeast to +37°C in the southwest.
