Entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region have registered a company in Belarus’s Beshankovichy District.
AndijanAgro LLC has already selected sites at the Rassvet farm, BelTA reported, citing First Deputy Chairman of the district executive committee Mikhail Samakhvalau. According to him, the company plans to purchase 200 young bulls from the Vyadzerava and PolitotdeletsAgro farms, with the herd eventually expanding to 1,000 head. Five farm buildings will need to be renovated.
The new company also plans to engage in crop production. Preliminary plans envisage planting 1,200 hectares of potatoes and 800 hectares of wheat, although a final decision has not yet been made.
At the initial stage, feed will be purchased from Belarusian suppliers. The company also plans to buy Belarusian agricultural machinery and lease some equipment locally.
