Forecasters have declared a yellow level of danger due to heat. This is the first such warning in 2026.
“On May 5 (Tuesday), thunderstorms are expected in some areas of the country, and during the day in places in the south the maximum air temperature will reach +30°C,” the warning said.
Weather conditions in Belarus on Tuesday will be shaped by a warm, unstable air mass moving in from Western Europe, with the influence of an atmospheric front expected during the day.
Variable cloudiness is forecast. At night, precipitation is expected in places in the north-west, while during the day short-term rains are forecast across most of the country, with thunderstorms in some areas. Winds will be light and variable at night, shifting to moderate south-westerly and westerly during the day, with gusts possible during thunderstorms. Minimum temperatures at night will range from +7 to +13°C, with daytime highs of +21 to +27°C.
