European Union Extends Sanctions Against Belarus

The European Union has extended sanctions against Belarus. The relevant regulation of the Council of the European Union dated 26 February was published in the Official Journal of the EU.

“Following a review of Council Decision 2012/642/CFSP, the Council has decided that the restrictive measures set out therein should be extended until 28 February 2027,” the document states.

At the same time, amendments were introduced to the statements of reasons for the inclusion of 54 individuals and seven legal entities on the sanctions list.
