The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka held yesterday was not linked to the visit to Moscow by U.S. CIA Director John Ratcliffe. Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said this to Pavel Zarubin, a journalist with the Vesti news service.
“Russian-Belarusian relations are a completely independent dimension that in no way depends on contacts with the Americans”, he said.
