The Christmas tree on October Square in Minsk will be lit on 15 December. This was reported by the Minsk City Executive Committee.
On the same day, the entire festive illumination across the capital will be switched on.
Each district will host its own site with a “main tree”:
• Oktyabrsky District: 7 Chkalava Street.
• Maskouski District: M. Pavlov Park.
• Savetski District: Area near the Belarusian State Philharmonic.
• Piershamayski District: Area near the National Library and 1 Russiianava Street.
• Tsentralny District: Area near the Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth.
• Partyzanski District: Extreme Sports Park and M. Gorky Park.
• Frunzenski District: Ice Palace (27 Prytytskaha Street) and Maximus Shopping Centre (94 Lobanka Street).
• Zavodski District: Area near the Zolak Palace of Children and Youth (146 Partyzanski Avenue).
• Lieninski District: Area near the Minskconcert state cultural institution.
