In Poland, four citizens of Belarus and two citizens of Poland have been charged with violating sanctions, the National Prosecutor’s Office of Poland reported.
The six individuals were detained on February 18 by officers of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the National Revenue Administration. The detentions were carried out as part of two parallel investigations.
The suspects are accused of attempting to smuggle to Russia, via the territory of Belarus, “devices used to automate the production of integrated circuits, applied, among other things, in the assembly of combat unmanned aerial vehicles.”
On February 20, a court in Łódź ordered the temporary arrest of three suspects. Other preventive measures were applied to the remaining individuals, including police supervision, release on bail, and a ban on leaving the country.
Funds in various currencies equivalent to around 400,000 zlotys were seized from the detainees.
