Belarusian Weightlifters Allowed to Compete Under National Symbols at Junior Events

The International Weightlifting Federation has allowed athletes from Belarus and Russia to compete at youth and junior competitions held under the IWF umbrella without prior screening and with the possibility of full use of national symbols.

The new rules will take effect as early as the upcoming tournaments: the Junior World Championships in Ismailia, Egypt, on May 2–8, and the Youth World Championships in Cali, Colombia, on July 5–11, the IWF reported.
