The Defence Ministry has reported the deployment of an air defence missile (SAM) division to guard the state border. The unit received this task as part of a snap inspection conducted by the commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces.
“One of the divisions of the anti-aircraft missile brigade received a combat order and moved to the designated area. The division is carrying out a real mission: it is taking up combat duty to protect a section of the State Border of the Republic of Belarus in the airspace and to cover a designated facility,” the ministry’s press service said.
It is noted that particular attention was paid to the movement of equipment and reconnaissance. To counter UAVs, a mobile fire group, as well as drone detection and engagement systems, have been deployed.
