A traffic incident involving a vehicle of the Belarusian diplomatic corps and a police patrol car occurred in Bialystok on Wednesday morning. A female police officer was injured in the collision.
According to Fakt.pl, citing the Podlaskie police, the accident took place at around 6:30 a.m. at the Sister Faustina Kowalska roundabout linking Jurowiecka and Poleska streets. Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of a BMW belonging to the Belarusian diplomatic corps failed to yield and collided with the police vehicle.
The injured police officer was taken to hospital for examination but was released later the same day. Fortunately, she did not sustain any serious injuries. Both drivers were sober at the time of the incident.
Police stressed that no one fled the scene of the accident. The incident was classified as a traffic collision, and the driver of the diplomatic vehicle was issued a warning.
