A delegation from Myanmar is visiting Belarus. Today, representatives from Myanmar met with Colonel Aleksei Titski, Head of the Information Department and Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Ideological Work of the Ministry of Defense. Also present were Colonel Aleksandr Kisel, Head of the Department of the Information Directorate, and Colonel Arseny Lukyanov, Head of the Military Information Agency “Vayar.”
The parties discussed cooperation in the information sphere. Titski called 2025 a breakthrough year in relations between Belarus and Myanmar, noting the countries’ shared approaches and views on the modern world.
“As part of our meeting, I would like to emphasize the discussion of information policy issues, which are undoubtedly of great importance for cooperation between our military departments. The relevance of this topic is dictated by the modern challenges and threats our states face in the information domain.
The Republic of Belarus attaches great importance to developing cooperation with the Republic of Myanmar. We are open to expanding dialogue in all areas of interest to the Myanmar side. I am convinced that our cooperation will develop productively and strengthen based on principles of friendly partnership, respect, and mutual interests,” Titski said.
Head of the Myanmar delegation, Colonel Aung Cho Oo, stated that cooperation in the information sphere between the defense ministries of Belarus and Myanmar would develop on the basis of mutual interests. He emphasized that information and experience exchange would contribute to the development of the media sector in both Belarus and Myanmar and invited the Belarusian side to visit Myanmar and learn about its media industry.
