Bank Branch Catches Fire in Minsk

A bank branch caught fire on Zhukouskaha Street in Minsk on the afternoon of June 19. The ceiling inside the building caught fire.

The fire was extinguished by bank employees. Firefighters who arrived at the scene determined that the cause of the blaze was a short circuit in the wiring of a ceiling light fixture. No injuries were reported, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
