The average nominal accrued wage of public sector employees in Belarus amounted to 2,290.8 roubles before tax in March. It increased by 2%, or 44 roubles, compared with February.
The real average wage in the public sector grew by 10% in January–March. The data were published by Belstat.
In March, the ratio of wages in public sector organisations to the national average stood at 77%.
The average March wages in the public sector were as follows:
- in public administration – 3,836.4 roubles (+92.2 roubles compared with the previous month),
- for teachers – 2,776.5 roubles (+14.1 roubles),
- for preschool educators – 1,909 roubles (+37.6 roubles),
- for academic staff – 3,286.5 roubles (+54 roubles),
- for doctors – 4,331.6 roubles (+140.7 roubles),
- for mid-level medical personnel – 2,307.4 roubles (+60.7 roubles).
