Agricultural production by farms of all categories rose by 4.7% in the first half of the year to 13.6 billion Belarusian rubles, according to data published by Belstat.
Agricultural output at agricultural organisations increased by 4.9% over the same period to 13.3 billion Belarusian rubles.
At agricultural organisations, livestock and poultry production in live weight rose by 5.3% to 925,300 tonnes, milk production increased by 2.9% to 4.62 million tonnes, and egg production grew by 0.7% to 1.725 billion units.
As of July 1, agricultural organisations had 3.8 million head of cattle, including 1.3 million cows. The number of pigs stood at 2.1 million head and poultry at 51 million birds.
