Yauhen Andreichyk Elected Second Vice Speaker of the Coordination Council

Yauhen Andreichyk (Nastup) has been elected second vice speaker of the fourth convocation of the Coordination Council. He received 44 votes in the second round of voting.

Andreichyk was backed by 31 of the 34 delegates from the Latushka Coalition and the For Freedom Movement, all eight delegates from Nastup, all four delegates from Your Voice, and one independent delegate.

The second candidate, Pavel Maryeuski of European Choice, received 35 votes. He was supported by two of the 34 delegates from the Latushka Coalition and the For Freedom Movement , all 10 delegates from European Choice, all six delegates from the United Civic Platform, all five delegates from Stop Being Afraid!, all four delegates from the Belarusian Political Prisoners’ Bloc Belarusians of Action, and all eight delegates from the “Volya” movement.

The quorum for the vote was 79 of the 80 delegates of the Coordination Council, and all 79 delegates present took part in the voting.
