The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a Belaruskali worker. The company previously reported the accident.
“According to preliminary information, the accident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Aug. 17. During an inspection of the mine workings of the longwall, a roof section collapsed onto a 49-year-old underground site foreman,” the Investigative Committee said.
The site foreman was hospitalized but died in hospital.
Investigators inspected the scene, seized documentation and ordered forensic examinations.
