MART and the State Committee for Standardization conducted a raid on stores selling electric lamps. More than 20 retail outlets were inspected in regional centers and Slutsk.
“The results showed systematic violations of assortment requirements: violations were recorded at virtually every outlet. The key problem is the absence of Belarusian products on the shelves”, MART said indignantly.
For example, in Mahiliou, Belarusian household lamps were found at only one of six outlets.
“At the same time, one of the stores in Hrodna had more than 60 types of Belarusian lamps, which proves that it is actually possible to comply with the mandatory assortment requirements”, the ministry stressed.
Following the monitoring, MART issued 23 recommendations and two orders banning the sale of expired products.
It should be recalled that recently Aliaksandr Lukashenka visited Brest, where he demanded that a Belarusian LED light bulb be produced.
