Customs Again Prevents Individual Entrepreneur From Importing Goods From Russia

The State Customs Committee reported intercepting two consignments of imported goods that were being brought in from Russia. According to the committee, the goods had previously been illegally imported into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.

This time, the operation took place in the area of responsibility of the Vitebsk customs office. Previously, the State Customs Committee had published such reports mainly from the Homiel region.

In the first case, customs officers stopped a Belarusian individual entrepreneur whose vehicle contained nearly 3,000 items worth 190,000 rubles. The entrepreneur had no accompanying documents.

In the second case, 2,500 items of clothing, footwear, bags, auto parts and tools worth more than 93,000 rubles were found in a truck belonging to a Belarusian carrier.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
