Vilnius Airport temporarily suspended operations due to what was described as a hybrid attack from Belarus. The restrictions were in place from 20:30 to 21:30 Lithuanian time (21:30–22:30 Belarusian time).
The measures were introduced after navigation marks characteristic of weather balloons were detected, the airport’s press service reported.
In recent days, weather balloons from Belarus have also drifted into Poland.
