The Investigative Committee is conducting an inquiry into the death of a man while logging in the Kastrychnitski District. The accident occurred on Aug. 18.
According to the Investigative Committee, the 36-year-old resident of Svetlahorsk was working without formal employment for a private company specializing in logging. He was sawing felled tree trunks and cutting branches with a chainsaw on the territory of the Kastrychnitski Forestry Enterprise.
“During the work, the chain on the tool broke, came off and struck the worker. He died from his injuries,” the Investigative Committee said.
The scene was examined, evidence was collected and documents were seized.
