The Belarusian government has changed the rules for importing civilian drones and for customs control of international postal shipments. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn, according to the government’s press service.

The resolution provides for the opening of two new customs inspection points for international parcels in Minsk District: Minsk-TLC and the Ozon Production and Sorting Centre.

It also stipulates that, during inspections of international parcels and goods sent to private individuals from the territory of the EAEU, carriers will be required to comply with customs authorities’ instructions during inspections. Records of inspections will now include the unique registration number of the inspected object.

Changes were also made to the procedure for obtaining permission to import civilian drones and model aircraft. Importers will no longer be required to obtain a document from the State Military-Industrial Committee confirming that the drone is not intended for military or dual-use purposes.
