Political prisoner and illustrator from Brest Natallia Levaya has been released, the Pink Scarves project reported. She is in the final stage of pregnancy.

Natallia had lived in Poland for some time, working as a 2D artist and art director, but decided to return to Belarus in December 2023. She was detained at the border. Information about donations may have been obtained through banking transactions, correspondence, cryptocurrency software or her phone.

On July 17, 2024, the Brest Regional Court sentenced her to six years in a general-regime penal colony and a fine of 40,000 roubles. Natallia was found guilty under the following articles of the Criminal Code: Part 2 of Article 361-1 (financing extremist activity), Part 2 of Article 361-3 (financing participation in military actions on the territory of a foreign state), and Article 361-2 (financing the activity of an extremist formation; the edition lost force in 2021).

In April 2025, ONT aired a propaganda report about detentions for donations, including Natallia’s case.

In January 2026, it became known that Natallia became pregnant in the colony after a visit with her husband. Her due date is expected in March.
