The Brest Region Prosecutor’s Office found violations in the work of DOSAAF structures. The inspection showed that the organisation’s activities “do not fully meet its stated goals and objectives”, according to the Brest Region Prosecutor’s Office press service.
During the inspection, it was established that membership lists of territorial structures were outdated. There was no information about events held during reporting periods. DOSAAF also failed to carry out proper work on creating and supporting the activities of its primary organisations.
“For example, in the regions, especially in educational institutions, numerous sports clubs for children and young people in military-applied sports, including shooting and aeromodelling, have been created and operate outside cooperation with DOSAAF. In some cases, only adults attended these sports clubs, while minors were not involved. The current situation does not fully correspond to the principles of the organisation’s activities”, the prosecutor’s office said.
Cases were also identified in which children were admitted to clubs without medical certificates and parental applications.
The prosecutor’s office submitted a recommendation to the head of the Brest regional organisational structure of DOSAAF.
