Minsk and Dushanbe Discuss Resuming Direct Air Service

The management of Minsk National Airport held a meeting with Abdulqosim Valiev, генеральный director of the Tajik airline Somon Air. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation and the possibility of launching direct flights between Minsk and Dushanbe.

The airport’s chief executive, Uladzimir Charaukhin, said that expanding the route network is one of the airport’s key strategic objectives. Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to develop bilateral cooperation, the airport’s press service reported.

Somon Air is Tajikistan’s national carrier, based at Dushanbe International Airport. In 2021, the airline already operated flights on the Dushanbe–Minsk route.
