Polish border guards recorded attempts by migrants to cross the border from Belarus over the weekend.
According to the Podlasie Border Guard Unit, 11 attempts were recorded on Saturday and 10 on Sunday. Most of the foreigners retreated deeper into Belarusian territory after spotting patrols.
Migrants used ladders in attempts to climb over the border fence. Those involved included citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Since the beginning of the year, around 190 attempted border crossings have been recorded in Podlasie Voivodeship.
