The Prosecutor’s Office of Minsk’s Zavadski District has reported another achievement in the fight against “extremism”.
At its request, one of the marketplaces removed the book by Heinz Guderian, “Memoirs of a German General. Germany’s Tank Forces in the Second World War 1939–1945”. In November last year, the book was added to the national list of “extremist materials”.
It should be noted that Guderian’s memoirs were published in Russian translation in the Soviet Union by the Voenizdat publishing house in the 1950s, shortly after their release in Germany. Some parts of the text were subject to censorship.
