A military-documentary exhibition dedicated to the four-year combat path of Belarusian volunteers is open at the Zaporizhzhia Center for Contemporary Art.
The exhibition is divided into zones representing Ukrainian regions where Belarusians took part in the defense and liberation. These are the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The exhibition consists of 110 large and around 150 smaller photographs of Belarusian volunteers who chose the most difficult way to return to Belarus: through the liberation of Ukraine. According to the authors’ concept, a significant portion of the photographs was placed on boxes symbolizing constant relocations, life on the road and the long journey home, the end of which remains unknown for many volunteers to this day.
For security reasons, the opening was held in a closed format.
The exhibition can be visited at 151 Sobornyi Avenue.
The exhibition is open until September 6. Admission is free.
