The House of Representatives has adopted the draft law “On the Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on Mutual Visa Exemption”.
The agreement stipulates that holders of ordinary passports valid for at least six months from the date of entry may stay without a visa in Belarus and Oman for no more than 30 days from the date of entry. The total duration of their stay in the other country must not exceed 90 days within a calendar year.
The agreement was signed in October last year during the visit to Minsk by the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. For ratification procedures to be completed on the Belarusian side, the adopted draft law must still be approved by the Council of the Republic and signed by Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
Deputies also adopted a number of other draft laws today. In particular, in the first reading they approved the draft laws:
- “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus ‘On Currency Regulation and Currency Control’,”
- “On Identification, Registration and Traceability of Animals (Herds), and Identification and Traceability of Products of Animal Origin”,
- “On Amendments to Laws on Issues of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism”.
