A 47-year-old man carrying a gas pistol was detained outside the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, RMF FM reported.
According to the outlet, the man was intoxicated. He approached State Protection Service officers standing at the entrance to the Presidential Palace, identified himself as a supporter of President Karol Nawrocki and said he urgently needed to meet him.
Security officers noticed an object resembling a pistol tucked into the man’s waistband. They demanded that he hand it over, but he refused. Police were called to the scene and detained the man. The detainee is currently sobering up. The weapon has been sent for examination and is most likely a gas pistol.
