Forecasters have issued an orange weather alert for southwestern Belarus.
“During the day on July 16 (Thursday), the maximum air temperature in the southwestern parts of the country will reach 30°C”, the warning said.
A similar warning for southern Belarus is in effect today.
The influence of an area of high atmospheric pressure and a warm air mass will persist tomorrow. Variable cloud cover is expected, with mostly dry conditions. Light fog is possible in some areas overnight and in the morning. Moderate winds will blow from the eastern quarter. Minimum overnight temperatures will range from 9°C to 16°C, reaching up to 18°C in the southwest. Daytime highs will range from 22°C to 29°C.
