Energy Companies to Take Over Three Agricultural Enterprises

Three agricultural enterprises have been transferred to organizations within the Energy Ministry system. Decree No. 209 of June 25, “On the Acceptance of an Enterprise into Republican Ownership”, was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

Under the decree, by July 31 the state-owned enterprise “Vorniany” in the Astravets district, “Sakovshchina-Agro” in the Valozhyn district and JSC “Zaskovichi” are to be transferred from municipal ownership to republican ownership. They will be assigned under the right of economic management to Grodnoenergo, Minskoblgaz and Minskenergo, respectively.

Within one month of taking over the assets of the agricultural enterprises, the energy companies must settle outstanding debts to the Social Protection Fund, tax and fee liabilities, interest and penalties on state budget loans, as well as debts owed to individuals under civil law contracts.

Within three months, they must repay obligations related to state budget loans, advances and fines.

The energy companies will also be required to repay debts for diesel fuel and outstanding bank loans.

The decree also provides for measures to restructure the agricultural enterprises’ remaining debt.
