Belarus has launched its traditional nationwide road safety campaign, “Attention — Children!”.

During the campaign, which runs from May 25 to June 5, drivers across the country are required to use low-beam headlights or daytime running lights.

The campaign is timed to coincide with the end of the school year. It is aimed at drawing public attention to the safety of minors on the roads and increasing awareness among drivers and parents ahead of the summer holidays.

Traffic police inspectors will also conduct preventive activities for children and parents and carry out enforcement raids to prevent traffic violations.
