Belarus and Indonesia signed five memorandums of understanding at the enterprise level following a meeting of the intergovernmental commission held last week. The total value of the signed documents amounts to about $427 million, Indonesia Business Post reports.
According to the publication, the agreements concern strategic cooperation between PT Pupuk Indonesia and the enterprise Nedra Nezhin. PT Pupuk Indonesia is an Indonesian state-owned company engaged in the production of fertilizers and chemicals. Nedra Nezhin produces potash fertilizers.
The remaining documents concern cooperation between PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya and Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, Energhakomplekt, Dolomit, and Belindo Trade.
It is noted that the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the fields of electric vehicles, the semiconductor industry, and supplies of potash fertilizers.
During the visit of the Indonesian delegation to Belarus, talks were also held regarding preparations for a visit by Aliaksandr Lukashenka to Indonesia. The issue of opening an Indonesian embassy in Minsk was discussed at the Foreign Ministry.
The publication also notes that trade turnover between Belarus and Indonesia reached $221 million.
