Alena Prykhodzka has been elected chair of the election commission for the Coordination Council. The decision was adopted unanimously at the commission’s first open meeting on 17 February, the Coordination Council’s press service reported.
“I like everything. We will go through all the requirements together with the election commission. The team is very good, everyone with their own soft and hard skills. I think it will be a good ‘dream team’,” Prykhodzka said following the vote.
At the meeting, the main provisions for the elections were determined:
- Voting will last seven days.
- Voting will take place via a digital platform.
- Lists of no fewer than 10 people will be proposed to the Coordination Council.
- Each list must include at least 40% women and at least 40% men (exceptions are предусмотрены for specific organisations).
- Commission meetings will be held at least once every two weeks.
The composition of the election commission was approved on 28 January. Its members are Dzmitry Furmanau, Alena Zhylachkina (Zhyvahlod), Yaraslau Bekish, Piatro Markelau and Prykhodzka.
