At 9:17 on May 20, an air raid alert was declared in three areas of Latvia — Ludza, Krāslava and Rēzekne municipalities. Latvia’s National Armed Forces stated that there was a possible threat to the country’s airspace.
Residents of the affected areas received mobile alerts. Fighter jets participating in NATO’s air policing mission were activated.
The threat was lifted at 10:15.
An air raid alert was also declared in some areas of Lithuania due to a possible drone in Belarus near the Lithuanian border.
