Belarusian Railways will replace DP-6 electric multiple units operating on the Minsk–Viciebsk route with locomotive-hauled trains. The decision is explained by technical reasons.

On February 3, the changes will affect train No. 711 Viciebsk–Minsk. On February 4, 2026, they will affect trains No. 712 Minsk–Viciebsk, No. 713 Viciebsk–Minsk, and No. 714 Minsk–Viciebsk.

Starting from February 5, 2026, trains No. 704/703, No. 712/711, and No. 714/713 on the Minsk–Viciebsk–Minsk route will be operated by trainsets formed from locomotive-hauled passenger coaches, the press service of Belarusian Railways reported.

The trains will run with deviations from the timetable.

In addition, from February 3 to February 5, 2026, for technical reasons, interregional business-class trains No. 744/745 Minsk–Mahilyow–Minsk and train No. 745 Mahilyow–Minsk on February 6, 2026, will operate with locomotive-hauled coaches instead of DP-3 multiple-unit rolling stock.

Passengers who have already purchased tickets will be refunded the fare difference. To do so, they should contact ticket offices.

Belarusian Railways also warned that tickets for these trains may be temporarily unavailable in sales systems and outlets. To purchase tickets, passengers are advised to periodically check updates in the Belarusian Railways mobile application or in the unified “Passenger Services” section.
