A worker was crushed by the boom of a truck crane in Hrodna while repairs were being carried out on a heating pipeline, the Investigative Committee’s press service reported. The accident occurred on June 17.
A 52-year-old worker was in a trench while pipes on the heating pipeline were being replaced. As the crane’s platform rotated, the boom fell onto him.
The injured man was hospitalized, and doctors assess his condition as serious.
The Hrodna Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee is establishing the circumstances of the incident.
