The head of the National Anti-Crisis Management and Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet, Pavel Latushka, has submitted sanctions proposals to Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the Ukrainian President’s Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, and to Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry. According to the statement issued by the United Transitional Cabinet’s press service, the move follows agreements reached during meetings in Kyiv on May 25.

Among the proposals is the introduction of sanctions against four major Belarusian state media outlets that have so far avoided restrictions: ONT, STV, the Belarus Today publishing house and BelTA. The National Anti-Crisis Management says these platforms systematically incite hatred toward Ukraine and provide airtime to pro-Russian Ukrainian collaborators, including Mykola Azarov, Artem Dmytruk, and Diana Panchenko. The proposal also calls for 22 propagandists to be added to sanctions lists.

Lists of judges, members of the Lukashenka administration and prison officials responsible for the repression of Belarusians who supported Ukraine have also been provided to the Ukrainian side. According to the National Anti-Crisis Management, more than 200 Belarusian political prisoners are serving sentences specifically for demonstrating solidarity with Ukraine.

Following a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, additional proposals were submitted to impose restrictions on institutions and individuals linked to the Union State.

“It was within the framework of this entity that the military invasion of Ukraine in 2022 was coordinated, the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus was approved, and the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children to Belarus was officially financed and organised,” representatives of the democratic forces said.

“Depriving the Lukashenka regime of economic and political resources directly affects its ability to support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and carry out repression inside the country,” Latushka said.

In total, 11 packages of proposals have been submitted, containing justifications for sanctions against enterprises, officials, judges, managers of defence industry companies and propaganda structures.
