Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou expressed support for Azerbaijan. According to the Foreign Ministry, the conversation between Ryzhankou and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov took place today at the initiative of the Belarusian side.
“In connection with the incident in Nakhchivan, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the escalation in the Middle East, noting the high risks of further expansion of the conflict and the involvement of third countries. He expressed sincere words of support to the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the friendly Azerbaijani people,” the statement said.
Bayramov, in turn, informed the Belarusian minister about the situation in the region, the consequences of the drone attack, and the measures being taken by Azerbaijan.
The sides noted the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, as well as the role of diplomatic instruments in settlement issues.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has not yet reported the conversation with the Belarusian minister.
